* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  CENTRAL JEFFERSON COUNTY IN CENTRAL ALABAMA...

* UNTIL 700 AM CDT

* AT 357 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN
  THE ADVISORY AREA. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  BIRMINGHAM...VESTAVIA HILLS...BESSEMER...HOMEWOOD...MOUNTAIN
  BROOK...TRUSSVILLE...HUEYTOWN...IRONDALE...LEEDS...MOODY...
  FAIRFIELD...PLEASANT GROVE...TARRANT...MIDFIELD...ADAMSVILLE...
  BRIGHTON...LIPSCOMB...SYLVAN SPRINGS...MULGA AND MAYTOWN.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF 1 TO 3 INCHES INCHES IS EXPECTED WHICH COULD
CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND URBAN AREAS WHERE DRAINAGE IS
POOR.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
