PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People with interests along the river should take the necessary precautions to
protect life and property from the flood waters.

* Flood stage is 42.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 46.8 feet by tomorrow
  morning.

* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 26.9 feet this
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet...Floodwaters will affect farmers` fields adjacent to the
  river requiring the movement of farm equipment to higher ground.

* At  7:00 AM Thursday the stage was 13.27 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 13.4 feet by early Monday
  morning then begin falling.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Low land flooding will occur along the river. The flood
  waters may affect some residential property as water backs up into the
  drainage ditches in the city.

  The Great Pee Dee At Pee Dee.

* At 10:00 AM Thursday the stage was 19.66 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 24.5 feet by early Tuesday
  morning. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet...Flood waters will continue to affect logging operations
  upstream and downstream from Pee Dee. Flooding of farmlands adjacent to the
  river will worsen.
