...The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Flood
Advisory for the Sugar Creek...

  Sugar Creek at Milford affecting Iroquois County

.Heavy rainfall from the previous two nights has provided a rise in
the Sugar Creek. There is uncertainty on just how much further the
river will rise. It is possible that the rise continues high enough
where a Flood Warning will be needed for an 18 ft crest.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

* until Thursday morning.
* At 1000 PM Tuesday the stage was 14.2 feet.
* Action stage is 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 17.0 feet by
  Wednesday morning.
