...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN SUSSEX AND SOUTHEASTERN KENT COUNTIES...

AT 554 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN THAT WILL CAUSE
MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE
ALREADY FALLEN.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
MILFORD...LEWES...MILTON...ELLENDALE...HENLOPEN ACRES AND CAPE
HENLOPEN STATE PARK.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF A HALF AN INCH IS EXPECTED OVER THE AREA.
THIS ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL EXACERBATE ANY MINOR FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
