A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO BECOME A PROBLEM IN THE WARNED AREA...
ESPECIALLY AT POOR DRAINAGE LOCATIONS NEAR DRAINAGE DITCHES...SMALL
CREEKS...AND LOW SPOTS ALONG ROADWAYS AND FIELDS. FLOODING MAY
PERSIST WELL AFTER THE RAINFALL COMES TO AND END. PEOPLE IN OR NEAR
LOCATIONS SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOODED AREAS SINCE YOUR VEHICLE MAY
STALL AND YOU MAY BECOME STRANDED. FIND AN ALTERNATE ROUTE...TURN
AROUND...DONT DROWN.

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY...SINCE YOUR VEHICLE MAY
STALL AND YOU MAY BECOME STRANDED. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY DEEPER
THAN THEY APPEAR CREATING DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. WHEN
ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...FIND ANOTHER
ROUTE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. YOUR CAR MAY STALL AND YOU MAY BECOME STRANDED. FIND
ALTERNATE ROUTES. AVOID FLOODED AREAS...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
