Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
303 PM EDT Sat Apr 29 2017

.DISCUSSION...High pressure will remain anchored off the southeastern
US coast through Sunday. Any thunderstorms mainly associated with
heating will be isolated because weak subsidence and shallow moisture.

Low-level moisture will be ample this evening through early Sunday
morning, but mixing of the boundary layer will promote fair dispersion,
with little or no fog expected as a result.

Surface winds Sunday wil be from the south-southeast at 5 to 10 mph
after daybreak, then become south and increase to 10 to 15 mph by
late morning. Transport winds will become south at 15 to 20 mph.
Relative humidities will drop into the 45 to 50 percent range.

A vigorous frontal boundary will approach the area from the west
late Sunday night, with increasing atmospheric moisture and some
upper-level energy accompanying it through the daytime Monday.
