FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
253 PM CST SUN MAR 1 2015

.DISCUSSION...
WIDESPREAD...GENERALLY LIGHT RAIN WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT THROUGH
MONDAY MORNING...AS A SOUTHWEST FLOW BRINGS MOISTURE FROM THE
GULF OF MEXICO...AND A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE NORTHWEST.
THE FRONT SHOULD MOVE ACROSS THE REGION TONIGHT...RESULTING IN
RAIN CHANCES DIMINISHING ON MONDAY. WEAK HIGH PRESSURE MOVING
EAST OF THE REGION WILL RESULT IN SOUTHERLY WINDS RETURNING ON
TUESDAY. THE INCREASE IN MOISTURE/INSTABILITY...WILL BRING
SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES TO THE AREA. SOME OF THE STORMS
COULD BECOME STRONG TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...WITH STRONG
TO MARGINALLY SEVERE WINDS THE MAIN THREAT.

A STRONGER COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA ON WEDNESDAY...
USHERING MUCH COLDER AIR ACROSS NORTHERN ALABAMA. THESE COLDER
TEMPERATURES AND REMAINING MOISTURE WILL BRING WINTRY
PRECIPITATION ACROSS THE AREA FOR LATE WEDNESDAY TO THURSDAY.
