Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
421 AM CST Sun Dec 17 2017

.DISCUSSION...

An area of moderate rainfall will continue to move into northwestern
Alabama this morning around 7 AM. This area of moderate to a times
heavy rainfall will push quickly east this morning into northeastern
Alabama during the early afternoon hours. A brief mix of wintry
precipitation cannot be ruled out with the onset of precipitation
this morning, but temperatures should be too warm for any
accumulation. Between 1/2 and 3/4 of an inch of rainfall is expected
in most areas. Relative humidity values will remain high through
Monday, as additional moisture is brought north into the area, as
a warm front lifts northward toward northern Alabama.

Rainfall should end by midnight tonight and the area will remain
dry on Monday. Low mixing heights and light winds will keep
dispersion index values generally poor through Monday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Low clouds could produce some
reductions in visibilities or foggy conditions today and tonight.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None are expected due to rainfall
and light winds.
