Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
249 PM CST Fri Nov 17 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Showers will become more numerous overnight, as a cold front
approaches the area from the northwest. A few thunderstorms will
be possible ahead of the front, from late tonight through Noon
tomorrow. The front will cross the area Saturday morning,
producing a dramatic wind shift from gusty SW in the morning to
strong NW in the afternoon. Rain will be tapering off in the
afternoon from west to east. A few flakes of snow might even
develop as precipitation is coming to an end. Windy conditions can
be expected in the wake of the front, with northwest winds
gusting from 35 to 40 mph. Quiet weather is then expected early
next week.
