Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
644 AM EDT Thu Jun 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...Showers and a few thunderstorms will move into
eastern Kentucky early this morning, as moisture from Tropical
Storm Cindy moves northward into the area. The rain will taper off
a bit late tonight as the initial push of moisture moves off to
the northeast. A second round of longer lasting and more intense
rainfall is expected Friday and Friday night, as the remnants of
Cindy move into the Tennessee Valley and begin interacting with a
southeastward moving cold front. Locally heavy rainfall and
perhaps some flooding will be possible. Dry weather should end the
weekend and continue through at least the middle of next week.
