Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
324 AM MDT Thu May 25 2017

.Discussion...

Gusty winds and low humidities can be expected today across
much of the area. Even though winds and humidities at the lower
elevations are expected to be critical with respect to fire
weather concerns, the fuels are not critical and thus a fire
weather highlight will not be needed. Highs today will generally
be 5 to 10 degrees above average.

Slightly cooler temperatures are expected for Friday. There will
again be chances for showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the
afternoon and evening hours, and mostly over the central mountains
and areas north of highway 50.

Cooler weather can be expected this weekend. There will be a
better chance for precipitation across all of southern Colorado on
Saturday. Then for Sunday and Monday the best chances for
precipitation will be over the mountains and high valleys.

Excellent smoke dispersion is expected across southeast and south
central Colorado this afternoon and Friday afternoon.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
