FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WEST VIRGINIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV
641 PM EST SUN JAN 25 2015

.DISCUSSION...
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL TREK EAST ACROSS THE AREA TONIGHT AND ON
MONDAY. MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION WILL START OUT AS RAIN...BUT WILL
GRADUALLY CHANGE OVER TO A RAIN SNOW MIX...THEN SNOW AREA WIDE ON
MONDAY AS COLDER AIR FILTERS IN.

NORTHWEST WIND...COLD AIR AND SUFFICIENT MOISTURE WILL RESULT IN A
CHANCE OF SNOW...MAINLY IN THE MOUNTAINS...MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY
NIGHT...AS A MAJOR STORM CHURNS UP THE EAST COAST...WELL EAST OF THE
AREA.

HIGH PRESSURE SHOULD FINALLY BUILD IN ON WEDNESDAY. ITS VISIT WILL
BE BRIEF...THOUGH...AS ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CROSSES LATE
THURSDAY. THIS WILL BE FOLLOWED BY MORE COLD AIR...AND ANOTHER
SYSTEM MAY BRING LIGHT SNOW NEXT WEEKEND.
