...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS CURRENTLY LOW ACROSS THE STATE.

...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION...

THE UPPER LEVEL PATTERN TODAY IS DOMINATED BY A LOW COMPLEX WHICH
SPANS FROM THE BERING TO THE NORTH PACIFIC... AND A RIDGE FROM THE
CHUKCHI SEA ACROSS MAINLAND ALASKA TO A HIGH SOUTH OF THE EASTERN
GULF.

THE LOW COMPLEX IS BRINGING A FEW SHOWERS TO SOUTHWEST AND
SOUTHCENTRAL ALASKA TODAY... WHILE THE NEXT FRONT IS ALREADY
BRINGING RAIN TO KODIAK AND THE AKPEN.  THIS NEXT FRONT WILL SPREAD
RAIN INTO THE SOUTHWEST COASTAL REGION TONIGHT... THE RAIN WILL
SPREAD NORTH AND EAST THROUGH TUESDAY.

NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER THE SOUTHWEST AND SOUTHCENTRAL COASTAL
REGIONS... MOST OF THE EASTERN MAINLAND... AND SOUTHEAST ALASKA.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED CHANCES FOR
ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION OVER THE SOUTHWEST MAINLAND... THE
AKPEN... KENAI PENINSULA... AND THE NORTH GULF COAST.  THERE ARE
INCREASED CHANCES FOR BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION OVER THE NORTH
SLOPE.
