.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR FAR NORTHEAST GEORGIA
THROUGH 7 PM...

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA FROM 9 AM
TO 8 PM...

WHILE MOST OF NORTH GEORGIA HAS CHANCES FOR LIGHT RAIN TODAY FROM A
CLIPPER SYSTEM SWINGING THROUGH THE REGION...THE FAR NORTHEAST
MOUNTAINS WILL HAVE COLD ENOUGH TEMPERATURES TO SUPPORT SOME LIGHT
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...MAINLY AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 1500 FEET WHERE
AMOUNTS IN THE HALF INCH TO ONE INCH RANGE COULD BE SEEN. PLEASE SEE
THE LATEST WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FURTHER DETAILS AND STAY
TUNED TO LATER FORECAST UPDATES.

THERE IS ALSO A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SOME PATCHY BLACK ICE FOR AREAS
ALONG AND NORTH OF A ROME TO CARTERSVILLE TO CANTON LINE LATE
TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING.

STRONG WINDS OF 15-25 MPH GUSTING UP TO 35 MPH WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE
TODAY BEFORE THE POTENT SYSTEM EXITS NORTHEAST. PLEASE SEE THE
ASSOCIATED WIND ADVISORY FOR FURTHER DETAILS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

FAR NORTHEAST GEORGIA MAY SEE SOME LINGERING LIGHT SNOW OR
FLURRIES INTO MID MORNING TUESDAY. LITTLE TO NO ACCUMULATIONS ARE
EXPECTED...THOUGH WILL HAVE TO MONITOR FOR ANY ADDITIONAL CONCERN
OF POSSIBLE SLICK SPOTS ON THE ROADS.

TWO OTHER DISTURBANCES LOOK TO TRACK NEAR THE AREA THIS WEEK...ONE
THURSDAY OR THURSDAY NIGHT...AND ANOTHER NEAR LATE SATURDAY.
THERE IS MUCH UNCERTAINTY WITH THE STRENGTH AND TIMING OF THESE
SYSTEMS AT THE MOMENT...THOUGH CANNOT RULE OUT A SLIGHT CHANCE OF
WINTRY PRECIP IN PORTIONS OF FAR NORTH GEORGIA FOR BOTH PERIODS.
PLEASE KEEP MONITORING UPDATES TO THE FORECAST AS CHANGES ARE
LIKELY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT ANY REPORTS OF INCLEMENT WEATHER
THROUGH THE WEB BY GOING TO WEATHER.GOV/ATLANTA.
