This hazardous weather outlook is for east central...north
central and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Extreme fire danger is expected in much of east central Kansas
this afternoon due to dry fuels, 30 to 40 mph wind gusts, and
minimum relative humidity around 20 percent.

A few thunderstorms may develop along and southeast of an Emporia
to Lawrence line between 6 PM and 10 PM. If storms develop, they
could become strong enough to produce hail or gusty winds before
moving off to the east.

Rain may mix with snow this evening mainly north of interstate 70.
Minor accumulation on grassy surfaces will be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Very high fire danger is expected in north central Kansas on
Wednesday.

Spotter activation is unlikely through tonight.
