...STRONG AND GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY
AFTERNOON FOR AREAS NEAR AND BELOW THE CAJON AND SAN GORGONIO
PASSES...THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS AND COASTAL FOOTHILLS...AND THE
SAN DIEGO COUNTY COASTAL MOUNTAIN SLOPES AND FOOTHILLS...

.BUILDING SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL PRODUCE
MODERATE TO LOCALLY STRONG OFFSHORE WINDS ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH
MONDAY AFTERNOON. WIND-PRONE PASSES AND CANYONS WILL BE MOST
SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE HIGHEST GUSTS OF 65 MPH OR MORE. THESE WINDS
WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY. THE AREAS
MOST LIKELY TO HAVE STRONG WINDS ARE IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE
INLAND EMPIRE BELOW THE CAJON PASS...AND IN INLAND ORANGE
COUNTY...INCLUDING THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS.

  MONDAY MORNING...THEN WEAKENING INTO TUESDAY.

* LOCATION...ALONG THE COASTAL MOUNTAIN SLOPES AND FOOTHILLS AND
  BELOW FAVORED PASSES AND CANYONS.

* VISIBILITY...LOCALLY REDUCED IN BLOWING DUST.

* IMPACTS...STRONG CROSS WINDS WILL BE A POTENTIAL HAZARD FOR HIGH
  PROFILE VEHICLES. BROKEN TREE LIMBS AND OTHER UNSECURED YARD AND
  CONSTRUCTION SITE DEBRIS MAY BE BLOWN ABOUT AND IMPEDE TRAFFIC
  ON ROADWAYS.

* OUTLOOK...WINDS WILL WEAKEN BELOW HIGH WIND CRITERIA LATE MONDAY
  AFTERNOON...HOWEVER ADVISORY STRENGTH WINDS MAY CONTINUE IN SOME
  AREAS THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.
