A Look Back at the Climate for the Month of September 2016 for
Chicago and Rockford...

At Chicago, the average high temperature was 77.7 degrees, which is
2.9 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was 61.4
degrees, which is 7.1 degrees above normal. The average temperature
for the month was 69.6 degrees which is 5 degrees above normal.
During the month of September, 1.76 inches of precipitation were
recorded, which is 1.45 inches below normal.

There were no records set during the month of September 2016 for
Chicago.

At Rockford, the average high temperature was 79.1 degrees, which is
3.7 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was 59.5
degrees, which is 7.1 degrees above normal. The average temperature
for the month was 69.3 degrees, which is 5.4 degrees above normal.
During the month of September, 2.97 inches of precipitation were
recorded, which is 0.38 inches below normal.

There were no records set during the month of August 2016 for
Rockford.
