...Preliminary Storm Damage Results So Far In The Area
Near Peachtree in Cherokee County North Carolina...

The National Weather Service office in Morristown TN conducted
a storm survey today for the area near Peachtree in Cherokee County
North Carolina. Preliminary results indicate 90-100 mph wind gusts
associated with an EF-1 tornado that occurred late last night
around 1140 PM EDT.

Additional information will be put together over the next couple
of days to finalize our report and provide further details such
as path length and width. More time is needed to provide this
information. Another PNS will be issued with that information
as soon as possible.
