 A BROAD AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN MOVED OVER THE BIG HORN
BASIN THIS AFTERNOON...BRINGING MUCH NEEDED PRECIPITATION TO THE
AREA. A RECORD PRECIPITATION OF 0.64 INCH(ES) WAS SET AT LAKE
YELLOWSTONE WY YESTERDAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 0.34 SET IN
1999. NOTE THE RECORDS FOR THE LAKE YELLOWSTONE SITE ONLY DATE BACK
TO 1998.

THE RECORD PRECIPITATION FOR THE COOPERATIVE OBSERVER SITE AT LAKE
YELLOWSTONE FOR MAY 15 IS 1.08 INCH(ES)...WHICH WAS SET IN 1943.
