RANGELAND FIRE DANGER STATEMENT

.DISCUSSION...Highs today will be in the 80s, with min RH values
around 20 to 30 percent. Winds will be light. Showers and
thunderstorms will develop again this afternoon and overnight,
continuing into Thursday. Temperatures Thursday will be a bit
cooler, with highs in the 70s. Northwest winds will be breezy, but
min RH will be higher, around 30 to 40 percent.

...Moderate Fire Danger...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the moderate category
this afternoon. Marginal weather conditions or a lowering
moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on
the ground, indicate that there is some potential for a fire
occurrence. Do not leave outdoor fires unattended under these
conditions.

The outlook for Thursday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category to moderate category.

afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fire occurrence is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions.

index will reach the low category to moderate category.
