URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Albuquerque NM
216 PM MDT Wed Apr 26 2017

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT THURSDAY FOR THE WEST CENTRAL
HIGHLANDS...MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY...SANDIA...MANZANO AND
GALLINAS MOUNTAINS...AND THE EAST CENTRAL PLAINS DUE TO STRONG
WINDS...LOW HUMIDITY AND AN UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE...

.Critical fire weather conditions are possible Thursday afternoon
and early evening across much of the area south of Interstate 40.
Strong westerly winds will develop as an upper level jet crosses
the state and a surface low deepens over northeast New Mexico.
Mitigating the critical threat will be cloud cover and recent
rainfall, particularly over portions of the Sandia and Manzano
Mountains and over Quay and Curry counties. However, humidities
across the lower elevations are expected to fall below 15 percent.
