.Widespread rainfall has ended...and a dry weekend is expected. Rain
will return to the area on Monday. The following forecast is based on
observed and forecast 24 hour precipitation.
For the Maple River At Maple Rapids... the latest stage was 3.6 feet
at 10 AM Friday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.8 feet early Tuesday morning. Flood stage is 9.0
feet. At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding in low
lying pastures, farmland, and wooded areas adjacent to the river..
For the Pere Marquette River Near Scottville... the latest stage was
2.7 feet at 10 AM Friday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum
stage forecasted is 4.4 feet early Monday morning. Flood stage is
5.5 feet. At 4.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow of low lying
areas adjacent to the river occurs..
For the White River Above Whitehall... the latest stage was 2.8 feet
at 9 AM Friday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecasted is 5.2 feet early Sunday morning. Flood stage is 6.0
feet. At 5.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low lying
