WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC BETWEEN THE EQUATOR AND 25N FROM 130E TO 180.

A SURFACE TROUGH EXTENDS FROM THE EQUATOR AND 137E TO 4N135E AND IS
ASSOCIATED WITH AN AREA OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS SOUTH OF PALAU AND YAP BETWEEN 1N AND 6N FROM 132E
TO 142E.

TRADE-WIND CONVERGENCE IS GENERATING A FEW AREAS OF SCATTERED SHOWERS
AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. THE FIRST AREA IS OVER CHUUK AND POHNPEI
BETWEEN 2N AND 8N FROM 147E TO 161E. THE SECOND AREA IS SOUTH OF
KOSRAE AND MAJURO BETWEEN 1N AND 5N FROM 163E TO 174E. AN AREA OF
JUST SCATTERED SHOWERS CAN BE FOUND OVER THE MARSHALL ISLANDS
BETWEEN 5N AND 10N FROM 170E TO THE DATELINE.

A COLD FRONT ENTERS THE DISCUSSION AREA NORTHWEST OF WAKE ISLAND
NEAR 25N160E AND EXTENDS TO 22N150E THEN CONTINUES AS A SHEAR LINE
TO BEYOND 13N130E. AN AREA OF CLOUDS AND SCATTERED SHOWERS CAN BE
FOUND ALONG AND UP TO 100 MILES NORTH OF THE BOUNDARY.
