...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHWESTERN PARKER COUNTY UNTIL
515 PM CDT...

At 446 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles south of Poolville, or 9 miles north of Weatherford, moving
west-southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Weatherford, Mineral Wells, Hudson Oaks, Cool, Poolville, Mineral
Wells State Park and Millsap.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief, heavy rainfall is also likely occurring with this storm, and
may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

If on or near Lake Weatherford, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Do not be caught on the water in a
thunderstorm.
