HORRY...BRUNSWICK...PENDER...BLADEN AND COLUMBUS COUNTIES THROUGH
1015 PM EDT...

AT 918 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A
LINE EXTENDING FROM FROM 19 MILES WEST OF BURGAW TO 17 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF ELIZABETHTOWN TO 6 MILES SOUTHEAST OF WHITEVILLE TO 15
MILES NORTHEAST OF CONWAY. THE ACTIVITY WAS MOVING TO THE EAST
SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

SOME LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE LITTLE RIVER...NORTH MYRTLE BEACH...
SHALLOTTE...WHITEVILLE...ALLSBROOK...ASH...BATARORA...BETHEL...
BROOKSVILLE...BUGHILL...CALABASH AND CARVERS.

HAZARDS INCLUDE...
HALF INCH DIAMETER SIZE HAIL.
GUSTY WINDS OF 40 TO 50 MPH.

OCCASIONAL TO FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

SHORT BURSTS OF HEAVY RAINFALL WHICH COULD TEMPORARILY CAUSE PONDING
OF WATER ACROSS POORLY DRAINED AREAS.

DON`T WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THE FIRST LIGHTNING FLASH BEFORE HEADING TO
SAFETY. MOVE INDOORS AT THE FIRST SIGN OF THREATENING SKIES OR THE
FIRST SOUND OF THUNDER. MAKE SURE THAT LIGHTNING IS WELL AWAY FROM
YOUR LOCATION BEFORE RESUMING OUTDOOR ACTIVITY.
