The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Robeson County in southeastern North Carolina...
  Bladen County in southeastern North Carolina...
  Northwestern Columbus County in southeastern North Carolina...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 701 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 6 miles southeast of Fayetteville to Howellsville to
  near Lake View, moving southeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Lumberton, Whiteville, Elizabethtown, Pembroke, Fairmont, St.
  Pauls, Chadbourn, Bladenboro, Rowland, Fair Bluff, Boardman, Rex,
  Ammon, Hestertown, Southeastern Community College, White Oak,
  Carvers, Smiths, Howellsville, and Lisbon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Please send your reports of hail and/or wind damage, including trees
or large limbs downed, by calling the National Weather Service office
in Wilmington at 1-800-697-3901.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
