WEATHER SYNOPSIS

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE PLAINS ON MONDAY. SOUTHERLY
WINDS AHEAD OF THIS FRONT WILL BRING MILDER AIR TO OUR REGION, ALONG
WITH INCREASING MOISTURE. RAIN WILL BECOME LIKELY BY MONDAY NIGHT,
AND THERE IS EVEN A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS LATE MONDAY NIGHT
INTO TUESDAY OVER WESTERN KENTUCKY AND SOUTHWEST INDIANA. HIGHS WILL
BE IN THE 50S BOTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY WITH AN UNSEASONABLY MILD
NIGHT IN THE MID TO UPPER 40S MONDAY NIGHT.

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS OUR REGION ON TUESDAY
EVENING. COLDER AIR IN THE WAKE OF THIS FRONT MAY CHANGE THE RAIN
TO SNOW BEFORE IT ENDS WEDNESDAY. ACCUMULATING SNOW APPEARS VERY
UNLIKELY AT THIS TIME, BUT IT CANNOT BE RULED OUT. HIGH TEMPERATURES
WILL DROP BACK INTO THE LOWER 40S CHRISTMAS EVE BEFORE MODERATING
INTO THE MID TO UPPER 40S FOR CHRISTMAS DAY AS SOUTHWEST WINDS
DEVELOP AHEAD OF THE NEXT STORM SYSTEM TAKING SHAPE IN THE PLAINS.
THIS SYSTEM WILL DRAG A COLD FRONT THROUGH OUR AREA ON FRIDAY BUT IT
APPEARS IT WILL BE MOISTURE STARVED WITH LITTLE MEASURABLE
PRECIPITATION EXPECTED.
