WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
312 AM CST SAT FEB 13 2016

HIGH PRESSURE WILL STEADILY BUILD INTO THE AREA TODAY MAKING FOR A
QUIET BUT COLD DAY WITH HIGHS IN THE 20S. THIS HIGH PRESSURE
SYSTEM WILL QUICKLY MOVE OUT OF THE AREA HOWEVER, TO MAKE ROOM FOR
OUR NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM. CHANCES FOR LIGHT SNOW WILL ARRIVE AFTER
MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO THE DAY ON SUNDAY. THE SNOW MAY
BE MIXED WITH FREEZING RAIN OR SLEET IN PARTS OF SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI.

PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY NIGHT ESPECIALLY ACROSS
WEST KY, BUT THE INTRUSION OF WARMER AIR INTO THE REGION WILL MEAN
A CHANCE FOR FREEZING RAIN OR RAIN ALONG WITH THE SNOW.

ON MONDAY, WE WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE CHANCES FOR PRECIPITATION AS
AN UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM PASSES THROUGH THE AREA. A MIXED BAG OF
PRECIPITATION IS POSSIBLE ON MONDAY MORNING, BUT THANKFULLY BY
AFTERNOON, IT SHOULD BE WARM ENOUGH TO CHANGE ALL OF THE
PRECIPITATION OVER TO ALL RAIN. THIS SYSTEM WILL MOVE OUT OF THE
AREA MONDAY EVENING.

YET ANOTHER QUICK MOVING SYSTEM WILL APPROACH US FROM THE
NORTHWEST AND COULD IMPACT PARTS OF THE AREA AS EARLY AS AFTER
MIDNIGHT MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. TEMPERATURES MAY BE COLD ENOUGH IN
THE EVANSVILLE TRI STATE REGION THAT PRECIPITATION COULD BE MIXED
AS IT STARTS IN THE MORNING. BUT TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO
WARM UP ON TUESDAY TO CHANGE IT ALL TO RAIN EVENTUALLY.

WE WILL FINALLY HAVE SOME QUIET AND MUCH WARMER WEATHER AS WE HEAD
INTO THURSDAY.
