THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST-CENTRAL
ARIZONA...EXTREME SOUTHWEST ARIZONA...EXTREME WEST-CENTRAL
ARIZONA...SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA...SOUTHWEST ARIZONA...WEST-CENTRAL
ARIZONA AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THE COMBINATION OF A RATHER STRONG UPPER LEVEL LOW CENTER (FOR MID-
AUGUST) APPROACHING FROM THE NORTHWEST AND INCREASING MOISTURE FROM
THE SOUTH WILL LEAD TO A RISING THREAT OF AFTERNOON AND EVENING
THUNDERSTORMS FOR TODAY AND TONIGHT. HEAVY RAIN...LOCALIZED FLOODING
AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS ARE THE PRIMARY WEATHER HAZARDS ASSOCIATED
WITH ANY STORM THAT DEVELOPS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

THE COMBINATION OF A RATHER STRONG UPPER LEVEL LOW CENTER THAT WILL
BE MOVING VERY SLOWLY EASTWARD ACROSS THE REGION AND TROPICAL
MOISTURE MOVING IN FROM THE SOUTHWEST WILL PRODUCE SCATTERED TO
NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH AT LEAST
THE END OF THE WORKWEEK...WITH A WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAINFALL EVENT
POSSIBLE BY THE END OF THE WEEK.
