Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
439 AM CDT Tue Apr 16 2024

.DISCUSSION...Patchy fog will be possible in the southeast today
and Wednesday mornings, but dense fog is not anticipated. Ridging
surface and aloft will try to remain dominant over central
Mississippi today as a sfc low approaches the region. This sfc low
will send a weak cold front into northwest Mississippi this
evening resulting in a chance for scattered / isolated showers and
storms across northern districts tonight into Wednesday. RH values
will remain above critical threshold which will help negate any
fire weather concerns.
