.DISCUSSION...A cold front moved across the burn site this morning
with northwest winds gusting up to 25 mph behind the front this
afternoon. Weak surface ridging moves across the burn site tonight
resulting in light and variable winds and good nocturnal RH recovery.
The ridge axis shifts east by Monday morning with southwest winds
increasing through the day on Monday. A favorable southwest wind off
Lake MI may result in stronger winds than currently forecast with gusts
over 30 mph possible, especially during the late afternoon. It is also
unclear how much moistening influence Lake MI will provide, but being
so close to the lake on a day with modest onshore flow suggests
potential for shallower mixing and higher RH values than forecast. A
warm front approaches Monday night bringing the next chance for
rainfall.
