...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN ONSLOW AND
SOUTHEASTERN DUPLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 330 AM EDT...

At 256 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Cypress Creek, or 14 miles east of Wallace, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Jacksonville, Half Moon, Cypress Creek, Verona, Catherine Lake,
Dixon, Chinquapin, Albert J Ellis Airport, Richlands South, Lyman,
and Haws Run.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
