Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
841 PM MDT Wed Jul 19 2017

.Discussion...

Monsoon moisture will remain over the district this evening with
scattered storms over and near the mountains mainly along and north
of a line from Creede to Westcliffe to Calhan. Locally heavy rain
may cause flash flooding, especially over burn scars. Most of the
plains south and east of Pueblo will not see any convection this
evening.

A similar pattern will persist to the end of the week. Scattered
afternoon and evening storms will continue over the mountains each
day with isolated activity over the plains. Temperatures will be at
or above seasonal averages.

The monsoon will strengthen over southern Colorado this weekend
promising a return to more widespread showers and storms. The risk
for flash flooding will increase during this period, especially on
area burn scars and across urban areas.

Afternoon ventilation rates will generally be in the fair to good
ranges for the next couple of days.
