Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
631 AM MST Fri Feb 23 2018

.Discussion...

ncreasing southwest flow ahead of another weather system moving
into the Great Basin will bring snow to the higher terrain along
and west of the Continental Divide today and tonight, with the
greatest accumulations expected across the Southwest Mountains.
This system will move across the northwest Colorado tonight, with
snow spreading across the high mountain valleys and across the
Southeast Plains, with the best chances of light accumulations
expected north of the Highway 50 Corridor. Another weather system
is expected to move across the state Saturday night and into
Sunday morning, mainly bringing snow accumulations to the
Continental Divide. Temperatures will remain relatively cool
through the weekend, with a warmup expected into the beginning
of next week.

Smoke dispersion is expected to be very good to excellent
this afternoon in most locations, however areas mainly
north of Highway 50 over the far southeast plains, may only
have fair dispersion. Saturday afternoon, most locations
are expected to have excellent smoke dispersion.
