Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1237 PM MST Sat Dec 9 2017

.Discussion...

Near critical fire conditions are anticipated during the late morning
hours into the early afternoon hours today. Red Flag criteria may be
met during this time period across Baca and Kiowa counties, but
conditions are not expected to last long enough or be widespread
enough to warrant highlights. Winds should decrease through the afternoon.

Dry and warmer conditions are anticipated to continue over the district
on Sunday in combination with lower winds speeds. Then, the
potential for some near critical fire weather conditions increase
Monday, especially across the far southeastern Colorado plains.

Most locations will experience good or better afternoon dispersion
today, although portions of the San Luis Valley should note poor
to fair values today. Then, decreased smoke dispersion values should
be experienced over the majority of the fire district Sunday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
