Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
303 PM MST Sat Feb 18 2017

.Discussion...

Snow will increase tonight and Sunday along the Continental Divide,
with locally heavy snow possible over the eastern San Juan
Mountains. Elsewhere, there will be a chance for showers
Sunday and Sunday night, with an isolated thunderstorm possible
across the plains. Dry weather will return for Monday with winds
increasing again on Tuesday and Wednesday when conditions
could approach critical fire weather conditions across the plains.
Snow will then spread back into the mountains as the next storm
system moves across the state on Thursday. Temperatures from
Sunday through Wednesday will remain well above average, with
some cooling at most locations by the end of the week.

Smoke dispersion will reach the fair to good category across
the mountains on Sunday, with very good to excellent dispersion
across the plains. On Monday, afternoon dispersion will be very
good to excellent across the eastern mountains and plains, but
only poor to fair over interior valleys and along the
Continental Divide.
