Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
406 AM MST Sun Feb 18 2018

...A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 10 AM until 6 PM Sunday
for gusty winds, low humidity values and dry fuels for fire
weather zones 222...and 225 through 237...which includes the
lower east facing slopes of the Wets and Sangre De Cristo
Mountains, Fremont county, all of the southeast plains...

.Discussion...

High fire danger is expected for this afternoon across much of
southern Colorado. Strong winds, low humidity values and dry
fuels will produce the dangerous fire weather conditions. Strong
southwest flow ahead of a cold front will likely produce near
critical fire weather conditions again on the Plains on Monday.
Cooler weather will move into the area Monday night and persist
until the end of the week.

Excellent smoke dispersions will persist through much of tonight
across the area.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
