Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
335 AM MDT Wed Oct 18 2017

.Discussion...

Generally dry weather with above seasonal temperatures
expected across the region through Friday. An approaching
upper level disturbance will bring gusty southwest winds
and low RHs to the district Friday, with near critical fire
weather conditions possible in the afternoon. There could
also be a few spotty afternoon or evening showers over the
higher terrain Thursday and Friday.

On Saturday, a weak upper disturbance will track across
the area from the northwest. It will bring a cold front
through the district lowering temperatures back to near
average levels. Some model runs have suggested a few
showers will move through the district with the system
but others are backing off on this. The track of the
system doesn`t look very favorable for precipitation
at this point. Dry weather with gradually warming
temperatures can be expected Sunday into early next
week.

Afternoon ventilation rates will generally be poor to
fair over the district today with rates improving to
good or better across the area Thursday and Friday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
