Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
504 PM MST Mon Dec 11 2017

.Discussion...

Winds are expected to decrease for Tuesday. Another system will
move through the area on Wednesday sending another dry cold front
through the plains and raising concerns for critical fire weather
conditions again Wednesday afternoon near the Kansas border. A
brief cool down in temperatures can be expected for Thursday, then
winds and temperatures will increase again for the mountains and
adjacent plains ahead of the next system which could bring some
light snow to the central mountains Saturday and Saturday night
and another dry cold front for the plains.

Lighter winds on Tuesday will lead to Poor to Fair smoke
dispersion rates over most of the district. The exception will be
across the mountains and northern El Paso county where dispersions
will rise into the Good category. Slightly higher dispersions can
be expected for Wednesday, though the southern I-25 corridor and
San Luis valley will likely remain poor due to lighter winds.
