Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
558 PM MDT Thu Apr 20 2017

.Discussion...

Unsettled weather will continue across the area tonight through
Friday as a low pressure system moves across southern Colorado.
High elevation snow and low elevation rain will be possible with
the heaviest falling across northern and eastern portions of the
district. A few lingering showers and cooler temperatures will
continue into Saturday...then drier and warmer weather will
return for Sunday into early next week. Winds will be breezy on
Wednesday and humidity values low...but moist fuels are anticipated
to mitigate any fire weather risks. The pattern becomes more
active again into the middle to latter part of next week as a series
of storm systems spread showers back into the mountains...and
intermittently across the plains Wednesday through Friday.

Smoke dispersion rates will drop into the poor category for most
areas overnight before rebounding into the good or better category
by Friday afternoon.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
