Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
424 AM MDT Fri Jun 23 2017

.Discussion...

A strong cold front will bring much cooler air to the eastern
mountains and plains from today through the weekend, with
more modest cooling farther west over the western mountains
and valleys. There will be a chance for showers and
isolated thunderstorms over the eastern mountains and
plains this morning, with daily chances for thunderstorms
then continuing over the weekend and early next week.
Temperatures will begin to warm to next week with a
gradual drying trend by mid-week.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will reach good or better levels
over most interior valleys and along the Continental Divide,
with only poor to fair values over the eastern mountains and
plains. On Saturday, most mountains and valleys will reach
good or better levels, with fair to good dispersion along
I-25 and across the eastern plains.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
