Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
515 PM MST Thu Feb 15 2018

.Discussion...

Light snow is expected to spread into the southeast mountains and
adjacent plains tonight, though any accumulations will remain light
and generally under an inch or two. Snow will end Friday morning with
gradually clearing conditions for the plains as drier air moves in.

Winds will increase again Friday night through the weekend with the
potential for critical fire weather conditions, particularly on Sunday
for portions of the southeast plains. The next storm system will bring
a chance of snow to the area for Monday, with the best chance for some
light to moderate amounts across the Continental Divide. Some light snow
may fall across the southeast mountains and plains Monday night depending
on the strength and track of this system. The next chance for snow will
arrive Friday night into next Saturday.

Dispersions will rise into the good or better category for most
of the area on Friday, though portions of El Paso and Pueblo counties
will remain poor due to clouds and colder temperatures. Rebounding
temperatures and stronger winds will bring higher dispersions district
wide for Saturday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
