Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1145 PM MDT Mon Jun 19 2017

.Discussion...
The modestly cooler and more moist airmass over the eastern mountains
and to the east will move out of the district overnight. On Tuesday,
it will be replaced by the warmer and drier airmass over the western
portion of the district. On Tuesday, there may be enough moisture for
isolated afternoon thunderstorms over and near the mountains. With a dry
atmosphere, the storms may have gusty winds and little precipitation.
Near the Kansas border, there will be more low level moisture and widely
scattered thunderstorms may form with better chances for rainfall.

The warm and dry airmass will remain over the region through at least
Thursday. By Saturday, a cooler and more moist airmass will move into the
district, especially from the eastern mountains and eastward. This more
moist airmass could bring better chances for rain.

For smoke dispersion, deep mixed layers will develop during the afternoon
on Tuesday and Wednesday. Dispersion will generally be good or better with
lighter transport winds limiting dispersion in some area.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
