Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
234 PM MDT Sat Mar 16 2024

.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions are not expected throughout the
forecast period.

Waves of snow will develop through the forecast period as a very
persistent low pressure system remains over the desert southwest.
Moderate snowfall is expected over the mountains through Sunday
morning. Rain and snow is possible over the mountain valleys and
portions of the I-25 corridor tonight. By early next week the low
pressure system will begin to move to the east, which will bring
another round of snow over the mountains and rain over the lower
elevations.

Smoke dispersion is expected to be poor to good across the
mountains and mountain valleys on Sunday, and fair to very good
across the plains. Smoke dispersion is expected to be poor to good
across the area on Monday.
