Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
313 PM MST Thu Nov 23 2017

.Discussion...

Unseasonably warm conditions will continue Friday, and with
breezy northwest winds developing, near critical fire weather
conditions will be possible for the southern I-25 corridor and
along the New Mexico border. A fast moving system will bring a
slight chance of light snow to the central mountains on Friday
and send a dry cold front through the plains. This will result in
cooler temperatures for Saturday. The next system will approach
the area on Monday bringing windy conditions to all areas and snow
to the Continental Divide. Critical fire weather conditions look
likely over the eastern mountains and southeast plains as this
system approaches.

Cooler conditions will return for Tuesday, with a chance for
rain and snow over the southeast mountains and adjacent plains.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will be excellent over the mountains
and interior valleys on Friday, while the plains east of I-25
see only fair to good levels. On Saturday, most locations will
see fair to good dispersion by afternoon.
