THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE OVER THE EASTERN SAN JUAN AND LA
GARITA MOUNTAINS TONIGHT. ACROSS THE SAWATCH AND MOSQUITO
RANGES...THERE WILL BE SOME LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS THIS EVENING...BUT
SNOW WILL MOSTLY END BY LATE TONIGHT IN THAT AREA BUT WILL START
UP AGAIN ON SUNDAY.

ON THE EASTERN PLAINS...FREEZING RAIN WILL DEVELOP DURING THE
EVENING AND CONTINUE OVERNIGHT. THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF FREEZING
RAIN TONIGHT WILL BE IN BACA COUNTY WITH LIGHT AMOUNTS OF
FREEZING RAIN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE PLAINS...FROM EASTERN LAS
ANIMAS...OTERO...CROWLEY COUNTIES AND EASTWARD.

AFTER MIDNIGHT...SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER THE SANGRE DE CRISTO AND
WET MOUNTAINS AND SOUTHERN INTERSTATE 25 CORRIDOR.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

FREEZING DRIZZLE AND FREEZING RAIN WILL BE LIKELY ACROSS THE EASTERN
PLAINS OF COLORADO DURING THE DAY SUNDAY...GENERALLY EAST OF A
LINE FROM LA JUNTA TO EAST OF TRINIDAD. THE HEAVIEST ICE
ACCUMULATIONS WILL OCCUR NEAR THE COLORADO AND KANSAS STATE LINE
WHERE UP TO 0.3 INCHES OF ICE MAY ACCUMULATE. THE FREEZING
PRECIPITATION WILL MAINLY OCCUR DURING THE MORNING AND AFTERNOON
TIME PERIOD. BY LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON THE PRECIPITATION IS
EXPECTED TO CHANGE TO SNOW. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO FALL FROM LATE
SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. A TOTAL OF 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE
POSSIBLE...ALTHOUGH IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THERE COULD END UP BEING A
LITTLE HIGHER.

ALONG THE INTERSTATE 25 CORRIDOR...SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM
EARLY SUNDAY MORNING INTO MONDAY. A TOTAL OF 2 TO 6 INCHES OF
SNOW IS LIKELY WITH THE HEAVIER AMOUNTS FALLING ACROSS THE RATON
MESA AREA.

THE SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS WILL SEE LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW SUNDAY INTO
MONDAY. GENERALLY 6 TO 12 INCHES IS LIKELY.

THE SAN LUIS VALLEY WILL ALSO SEE SNOW ON SUNDAY. TOTAL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
SOUTHERN PART OF THE VALLEY WITH 1 TO 3 INCHES ACROSS THE NORTHERN
PART OF THE VALLEY.

LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW WILL ALSO OCCUR ACROSS THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE
THROUGH SUNDAY...WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOW OCCURRING IN THE SAN
JUANS.

ANOTHER PACIFIC STORM WILL BEGIN TO AFFECT THE REGION STARTING
MIDWEEK AND LAST INTO FRIDAY. MOST OF THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR
ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE.

WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT MEET REPORTING CRITERIA FOR SPOTTERS WILL BE
LIKELY TONIGHT OVER THE SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS...THE EASTERN PLAINS
AND THE SOUTHERN INTERSTATE 25 CORRIDOR.
