THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

ISOLATED SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE
NORTH OF MONARCH PASS AFTER MIDNIGHT. LOCAL ACCUMULATIONS LESS THAN
AN INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE HIGHER
ELEVATION ON MONDAY...WITH THE FOCUS AREA BEING THE CENTRAL
MOUNTAINS. NEW SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WILL BE
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER PEAKS OF LAKE AND CHAFFEE COUNTIES.

THE UPPER JET AND AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL PUSH SOUTH ACROSS THE
REGION ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. THIS WILL BRING A GOOD CHANCE OF
SNOW AND VERY COLD AIR TO SOUTHERN COLORADO. THE MOUNTAINS AND
WEST WILL SEE THE BEST CHANCE OF SNOW TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING. THE BEST CHANCE OF SNOW AND THE GREATEST IMPACT...WILL
THEN SHIFT TO THE PLAINS TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY. THE
MOUNTAINS MAY SEE SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH
WEDNESDAY...WHILE THE PLAINS MAY ONLY RECEIVE AN INCH OR TWO.

HOWEVER...THE GREATEST IMPACT FOR THE PLAINS IS EXPECTED TO BE THE
BITTER COLD. THIS SYSTEM WILL GENERALLY KEEP TEMPERATURES BELOW
FREEZING TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. WEDNESDAY LOOKS LIKE THE
COLDEST DAY WITH HIGHS FOR THE PLAINS AND HIGH VALLEYS ONLY IN THE
LOWER TO MID TWENTIES...WHILE THE MOUNTAINS HOLD TO THE SINGLE
DIGITS AND TEENS. THURSDAY MORNING LOOKS LIKE THE COLDEST
MORNING...WITH LOWS JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE IN SOUTHERN COLORADO
BETWEEN 10 ABOVE AND 10 BELOW ZERO.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

WEATHER SPOTTERS WILL NOT BE NEEDED TODAY OR TONIGHT.
