This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

The fire danger will be elevated on Thursday as breezy conditions,
low humidities and dry fuels combine to produce critical or near
critical fire weather conditions over the southeast plains and
I-25 corridor.

Thunderstorms return to the forecast Friday through Tuesday.
There will be chances for thunderstorms across the area Friday
through Sunday. There may even be strong to severe storms over the
far southeast plains Friday and Saturday in the afternoon and
evening hours, with large hail and severe winds gusts being the
main threats. On Monday and Tuesday, thunderstorms should mainly
be found over and near the mountains. All storms will be capable
of producing lightning and gusty outflow winds.

Some light snow accumulations will be possible over the weekend
at the high elevations, mainly above 9500 feet. Temperatures near
freezing will be possible in the San Luis Valley Monday and
Tuesday mornings.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
