THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST MOUNTAINS AND
INTERSTATE 25 CORRIDOR THROUGH THIS MORNING. ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATIONS WILL REMAIN UNDER 2 INCHES FOR THE PIKES PEAK
REGION...FREMONT COUNTY...CENTRAL AND EASTERN CHAFFEE COUNTY...THE
WET MOUNTAINS AND THE WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY. MEANWHILE...SOME
POCKETS OF MODERATE SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE SANGRE DE CRISTO
MOUNTAINS AND SAN LUIS VALLEY THROUGH THIS MORNING. ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 6 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE SANGRE
DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS...WITH 1 TO 2 INCHES FOR THE VALLEY FLOOR AND
UP TO 4 INCHES FOR THE VALLEY EDGES. SNOW WILL END LATER TODAY
WITH CLEARING SKIES INTO THIS EVENING.

MEANWHILE...MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL CONTINUE FOR THE
MOUNTAINS ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TODAY INTO THIS
EVENING...WITH THE HEAVIEST FALLING ACROSS THE EASTERN SAN JUAN
MOUNTAINS. ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 12 INCHES CAN BE
EXPECTED...WITH UP TO 15 INCHES FOR THE HIGH ELEVATIONS OF THE
EASTERN SAN JUANS. THE LA GARITA MOUNTAINS...WESTERN CHAFFEE
COUNTY...AND LAKE COUNTY WILL SEE AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 7
INCHES...WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

SNOW WILL LINGER ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS AND SOUTHERN
PORTIONS OF THE SAN LUIS VALLEY THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.
ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES FOR THE SOUTHWEST
MOUNTAINS...AND AROUND AN INCH FOR THE SAN LUIS VALLEY...ARE
POSSIBLE.

NORTHWEST FLOW ALOFT WILL PLACE COLORADO IN A FAIRLY ACTIVE
WEATHER PATTERN BEGINNING WEDNESDAY EVENING...AND LASTING OVER THE
WEEKEND. AN UPPER DISTURBANCE WILL BRING A REINFORCING SHOT OF
COLD AIR AND A CHANCE OF SNOW FOR THE ENTIRE AREA WEDNESDAY NIGHT
THROUGH FRIDAY...WITH SIGNIFICANTLY COLDER TEMPERATURES FOR BOTH
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.

THE UPPER WEATHER PATTERN SHIFTS OVER THE WEEKEND...WITH ANOTHER
UPPER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM BRINGING SNOW TO THE HIGHER
TERRAIN...AND ESPECIALLY ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE...FOR
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
