THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

SNOW SHOWERS WILL MOVE THROUGH THE SAWATCH AND MOSQUITO RANGES OF LAKE
AND CHAFFEE COUNTIES TONIGHT WITH 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW EXPECTED
BY MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

HEAVY SNOW...STRONG WINDS UP TO 40 MPH AND POOR VISIBILITIES CAN
BE EXPECTED LATE SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS OF LAKE AND CHAFFEE COUNTIES...AS A STRONG PACIFIC JET
STREAM MOVES ACROSS THE ROCKIES. THIS SYSTEM COULD BRING 1 TO 2
FEET OF SNOW TO THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE EASTERN SAWATCH AND
WESTERN MOSQUITO RANGES THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. TRAVEL ACROSS THE
CENTRAL MOUNTAINS WILL BE HAZARDOUS...ESPECIALLY SUNDAY NIGHT AND
MONDAY...WITH EXPECTED BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND WHITEOUT
CONDITIONS AT TIMES.

OTHER AREAS ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE AND THE LOWER ELEVATIONS
OF LAKE COUNTY COULD SEE SNOWFALL OF 4 TO 8 INCHES OR MORE THROUGH
MONDAY NIGHT...WITH SOME WIND DRIVEN SNOW POSSIBLE OVER THE
EASTERN MOUNTAINS AND PLAINS MONDAY AND MONDAY NIGHT.

ON CHRISTMAS DAY...ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM COULD BRING MORE SNOW
TO MUCH OF SOUTHERN COLORADO. HOWEVER...FORECAST CONFIDENCE IS
LOW RIGHT NOW AS THE TRACK OF THIS WEATHER SYSTEM IS STILL VERY
UNCERTAIN. STAY TUNED TO YOUR NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PUEBLO
FOR THE LATEST FORECAST UPDATES ON THIS POTENTIAL CHRISTMAS
SNOWFALL.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT MEET REPORTING CRITERIA FOR SPOTTERS WILL BE
POSSIBLE TONIGHT ACROSS THE SAWATCH AND MOSQUITO RANGES OF LAKE
AND CHAFFEE COUNTIES.
