THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS ALL OF THE AREA TODAY...WITH THE HEAVIEST
HIT AREAS EXPECTED TO BE ALONG THE EASTERN SLOPES OF THE MOUNTAINS
AND THE ADJACENT PLAINS. NEW SNOW AMOUNTS EXPECTED THROUGH THE DAY
TODAY WILL RANGE FROM 4 TO 7 INCHES ACROSS THE PLAINS...TO 8 TO AS
MUCH AS 15 INCHES OF NEW SNOW FOR THE MOUNTAINS.

THIS EVENING THE FOCUS OF THE ONGOING SNOW IS FORECAST TO SHIFT TO
THE WEST ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS AND SAN LUIS VALLEY. SNOW IS EXPECTED
TO BE HEAVY ACROSS THE SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS TODAY...AND BECOME HEAVY
OVER THE LA GARITA AND CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AS WELL. PORTIONS OF THE
SAN LUIS VALLEY WILL ALSO HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME HEAVY
ACCUMULATING SNOW...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE VALLEY EDGES. LOOK FOR NEW
SNOW TOTALS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES FOR THE SAN LUIS VALLEY...AND 1 TO 2
FEET OF NEW SNOW FOR THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE CONTINENTAL
DIVIDE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

SNOW WILL CONTINUE ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE THROUGH THE DAY
MONDAY...AND INTO MONDAY NIGHT FOR THE EASTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS.
ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS CAN BE EXPECTED BY MONDAY EVENING FOR THE EASTERN SAN
JUAN AND LA GARITA MOUNTAINS...WITH AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 6 INCHES
ACROSS THE SAWATCH AND MOSQUITO RANGES AND THE HIGHER CREST OF THE
SANGRES. THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA WEST OF I-25 WILL PICK UP
GENERALLY ONLY LIGHT AMOUNTS OF UP TO 2 INCHES.

AFTER A BRIEF BREAK IN THE SNOWFALL ON TUESDAY...ANOTHER STORM
SYSTEM WILL BRING A REINFORCING SHOT OF COLD AIR AND A CHANCE OF
SNOW FOR THE SOUTHEAST MOUNTAINS AND ADJACENT PLAINS WITH MODERATE
ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING.
ANOTHER SHARP COOL DOWN CAN BE EXPECTED FOR THURSDAY.

YET ANOTHER STORM MAY BRING MORE SNOW TO PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN
COLORADO NEXT WEEKEND.
