This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are expected in the mountains today and this
evening, while the storms on the plains will be more isolated as
compared to yesterday. The best chance of storms on the plains will
be along the I-25 corridor.

Any storm which develops today will be capable of producing locally
heavy rain along with hail up to the size of pennies and wind gusts
to 45 mph.

Later tonight, a disturbance will move across the Colorado and New
Mexico border, and this may cause the showers and thunderstorms to
linger across this region into the early morning hours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

There will be a daily chance of thunderstorms across the area
through Thursday, with the greatest coverage of storms expected
to be over and near the higher terrain. The main threats from
storms will be lightning and locally heavy rain, with the
potential for flash flooding, especially across area burn scars.
Small hail and gusty outflow winds will also be possible with a
few of the stronger storms.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
possible this afternoon and evening across southeast and south
central Colorado.
