...WATER LEVELS ARE RUNNING HIGH ALONG THE FOUNTAIN CREEK AT
FOUNTAIN...

HEAVY RAIN ON SUNDAY IN PORTIONS OF EL PASO COUNTY HAS CAUSED
HIGH WATER LEVELS IN FOUNTAIN CREEK NEAR FOUNTAIN.

RIVER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN WITHIN BANKS...BUT THE HIGH FLOWS
WILL STILL BE DANGEROUS.  THOSE PARTICIPATING IN ACTIVITIES NEAR THE
WATER ARE ADVISED TO USE EXTREME CAUTION.  STRONG CURRENTS COULD
QUICKLY BECOME A SAFETY HAZARD.

FOLLOWING IS THE LATEST AVAILABLE INFORMATION...

FOUNTAIN CREEK NEAR FOUNTAIN...
* AT  9:00 PM SUNDAY THE STAGE WAS 6.1 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 8.0 FEET.
* NO FLOODING IS CURRENTLY FORECAST.


HIGH FLOWS POSE A SERIOUS THREAT TO PERSONS IN OR NEAR THE WATER.
EACH YEAR...HIGH FLOWS RESULT IN MISHAPS THAT ARE SOMETIMES FATAL.

STAY AWAY FROM THE BANKS OF RIVERS AND STREAMS.  DURING HIGH WATER...
SATURATED BANKS CAN EASILY BREAK OFF AND FALL INTO POTENTIALLY
DEADLY...FAST FLOWING WATER.
