...HEAVY RAIN THREAT FOR THE PIKES PEAK REGION INCREASING FOR
THIS EVENING...

HIGH RESOLUTION GUIDANCE IS INDICATING THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY
RAIN DEVELOPING OVER THE PIKES PEAK REGION BY EARLY THIS EVENING.
RADAR AT 5:40 PM WAS INDICATING A LINE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM THE DENVER AREA TO PARK COUNTY WERE
GRADUALLY INTENSIFYING AS THEY WERE MOVING TOWARDS TELLER COUNTY.

ALL RESIDENTS IN THE PIKES PEAK AREA...INCLUDING ALL OF TELLER
COUNTY AND ALL OF EL PASO COUNTY...SHOULD BE AWARE THAT HEAVY RAIN
WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS EVENING...AND THIS RAIN MAY CAUSE FLASH
FLOODING. PEOPLE IN AND AROUND THE WALDO BURN SCAR SHOULD BE
ESPECIALLY AWARE OF THE THREAT.
