...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT TODAY...

* LOCATION...PIKES PEAK ABOVE 11000 FEET

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A SPRING STORM SYSTEM WILL TRACK OVER THE
  REGION THROUGH FRIDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLD ENOUGH FOR
  SNOW ON TOP OF PIKES PEAK.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION...8 TO 18 INCHES WITH THE HEAVIEST
  AMOUNTS ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN AND ON NORTH THROUGH EAST
  FACING SLOPES.

* WIND...NORTH WINDS 15 TO 30 MPH.

* IMPACT...HEAVY...WET SNOW WILL POSE A HAZARD TO TRAVELERS...
  HIKERS...CAMPERS AND ALL OTHER OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS VENTURING
  TO THE SUMMIT OF PIKES PEAK. HEAVY...WET SNOW CAN GREATLY
  REDUCE MOBILITY. TRAVEL BY CAR...OR ON FOOT...MAY BECOME
  DIFFICULT IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

  REGION WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION...5 TO 10 INCHES.

* IMPACT...HEAVY WET SNOW IS LIKELY. ROADS WILL BE SNOWPACKED
  AND SLUSHY.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
