...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN WAYNE...
SOUTHEASTERN WILSON AND EAST CENTRAL JOHNSTON COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM
EDT...

At 210 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles west of Fremont, or 12 miles east of Smithfield, moving east at
20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Goldsboro, Fremont, Kenly, Princeton, Lucama, Stantonsburg, Black
Creek, Pikeville, Saratoga, and Eureka.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
